We've starting this Go fund me asking for assistance to help us finish connecting the dots. We already have well over $50,000 invested in this project with 50 people traveling including the band to take part in this historic journey.
We applied for a Sister City Grant with the DC Commission of Arts and Humanities for $20,000 (matching funds required) which we did not receive. These funds were slated to hep us cover some of these extensive and ancillary production costs on the ground for the documentary. WE'RE RAISING $50,000.

$40,000 is to help us cover remaining production costs to complete the filming and recording of the seven day journey. The first major step in creating a great film is getting quality footage and sound in the can. This will help us ensure we are covered fully on the ground and serve as back up any for unexpected production expenses before we leave and most importantly once we're on the ground. We are extremely excited to have Kevin Swain as our Director and leading the charge
$10,000 is to help us begin our project with Queen Mother Nana Nketiaa Obuo II who serves as the advisor and voice of reason over the Council of chiefs in the Akropong-Akuapem region to help provide more access to education for the children in the region. We will present this gift during the trip(which will be distributed ince we have a solid and secure plan in place to ensure those who need it get it) and it will be a part of the documentary.
